BBQ Cover

When I was asked to make a housing for a BBQ, there were a lot of requirements involved including the workings of the BBQ to the ergonomics, and taking in consideration to how it fits in with the courtyard. The brief was to keep the housing simple and effective but holding a heavy rustic look.

I worked with the client to establish concepts, sizes and materials and worked on site to produce this piece that free stands against the main house. On completion of the plans, the wood was ordered and delivered. Once delivered, tools were brought onto the site and the build was started and completed with a few subtle changes that the client wanted.

The not so pretty BBQ now sits in the housing as though it was always part of it.  The BBQ itself is kept safe from the elements and now can be used in all weather conditions.
